Hotels - The Fairmont Hotel, Dubai
Working with Dubai-based interior designers Décor Point, the design scope included the lighting of all exterior façades with facility for festival lighting; all interior public spaces; the central atrium; business centre, conference floor; ballroom; spa and health club; food and beverage outlets; and presidential and penthouse suites.
DHA Designs’ theatrical background was called upon for the unusual 32-storey metal-clad atrium, which was bridged at 9th floor level. Theatrical projectors were specified with gobos to transform the space from day to night, with colour and movement used to bring the space alive.
